At the Racetrack Playa in Death Valley, CA. What a wild ride to get there. First visited in 2003 where I made a fairly satisfying image of the place. Since then I've been waiting to return to give it another go with a coupla more decades of experience, a finer vision and modern gear. I hope it works for you. Cheers!
It definitely works for me, Jeffrey! I’m glad you chose monochrome, and I also appreciate the 1:1 aspect ratio. You’re making me want to get back there.
Nice job, Jeffrey. I skipped the Racetrack the last time I was there as the previous time, it was so disheartening to see 1) the tire tracks on the playa 2) how many rocks had been carried away. Just tracks to nowhere.
amazing picture with great composition. the trail of the rock leads the eye back to the background. thanks for sharing. definitely works best in black and white.

That's a fantastic image. I personally like it better if you crop out the mountains in the background and just leave the cracked mud, rock, and trail.
Thanks for the kind comment. I thought about that and may create another version.
