I took the opportunity to explore some new trails this past weekend at Henry Coe State Park. Most of these are from Blue Ridge Road as seen on the last picture.
Nice work! You captured the essence of the park really well - I say that never having been there, but I live in Norcal and it is very reminiscent of areas near me. Great variation and nice light. I think my favourite is the first.
These really capture the quality of the oak-grassland terrain of this part of California. I especially like that first one.
Seeing a tent in one of the photos makes me wonder... did you backpack in the park?
(One of my first memorable experiences of California spring wildflowers was on an elementary school field trip to this park decades ago... and for years I've searched in vain for a particular meadow that I have as a memory. Later I explored more remote areas of this park on a mountain bike.)

Thank you.
I did backpack, this was a 2 day 1 night trip over about 25miles and 6000ft of climbing. It's fun but tough to access the far reaches of the park for many. They actually have a backcountry weekend next week where they allow those who reserve spots to drive down some of these normally closed fire roads to car camp or hike to further parts of the park that normally require significant hikes to reach.
Thank you. I've actually been feeling something is off with my post processing since switching cameras a few years ago, it always feels too crispy. The 61mp Sony sensor seems to give a much more digital look than my older A9 did. I know continuing to improve in this department would probably improve my work but I'm not sure where to go to learn more. Perhaps if gdanmitchell or Ross Martin could write a guide - I enjoy how they both process photos.
