Evening walk along the Colorado River, came around a bend and found this eagle quietly watching the world go by. No long lens—just a 100mm in APS-C mode—so I worked with the scene as it was. It held its post just long enough to catch that last bit of golden light.
nice pics. the golden glow of the evening sun adds a warm compliment to the blue skies. thanks for sharing. you may get bit with the birding bug and find yourself wanting a longer lens.
Thanks! That golden hour light caught my eye too and I lucked out with a few minutes of it before the sun dipped below a ridge and it was gone. I’m eyeing getting a 200-600mm lens and I’m certain I will like the challenge of birding photography. Some people here make it look easy which I know it’s not!
