This is the mother from the Great Horned Owl nest I've been following. With the leaves now on the trees this hard to see nest is even trickier as is getting photos of the adults. The chicks have branched and I'll be sharing there photos soon. Today I'm sharing two images I took of mom by climbing up a steep hill that's at about a 45 degree angle. I even managed to set my tripod up so I could wait for moments when the leaves and branches that were between me and mom were least obstructive. Busting at 40 FPS helped me get images with her face clear.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
