p.1 #1 · 10 fps focus bracketing on older cameras with Tamron app
it's basically in the tamron app i select focus timelapse and because it counts frames and is really fast it doesn't know if it's shooting at 10fps or 1 frame a sec or slower which allows for this.
i have a video of the process on my proton drive but can't send the link here yet so sadly can't include the link
but here is a description of how to do it
1. connect the lens to the tamron app the lens needs to support version 5 of the app.
2. map the button to focus time lapse and set up how many frames you want to skip usually 0 then setup how many frames you want.
3. turn the lens to manual focus can be in the app or camera it doesn't matter.
4. select the desired focus range with the focus+ markers on the digital focus ring (i think it also works without app after mapping the button but i'ven't tried it).
4. follow the instructions from the app, so move the focus position to the first marker.
5. set the camera to whatever settings you want i personally recommend burst mode at whatever speed works will require some experimentation.
6. take the pictures with the camera and the lens handled whatever happens without issue so a small pause by literally not taking pictures or it taking pictures slower like buffering is fine.
i'd love to know if it also works for others (the camera needs to support the latest version of the mobile app) and if you try it i'd love to know if it works faster than 10fps and ofc try it in electronic shutter mode if there are artifacts it'll show up there i personally haven't found any yet.

Seems like I might be able to upload the link now, here it is: https://drive.proton.me/urls/D41QVGTWEM#8kcGLC5ULmZl (you should be able to view it without downloading it)
The license is cc0 so if you want you can do whatever you want with the video
