The front command dial on my GFX 100S II feels kinda "mushy" when rotating it in either direction compared to the rear command dial which feels "tactile". It doesn't seem to affect functionality but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. I've already sent a lens in to Fuji for service and it was super expensive to insure it and for the repair, so I don't want to have to send in the body as well if this is normal just to get charged another kidney!
Both dials of mine are tactile and nice. The joystick is a bit mushy tho. In general my X-T5 feels near perfect on every button and dial. The 100sII doesn't. Funny how it goes, a little bit of a lottery with Fujis.

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll put up with it until it changes from an annoyance to a functional problem.
I just checked mine and there is a very slight "drag" on the front dial but it is smooth. Not the "crisp" click as the rear dial.
Hope you don't have to send your body in to Fuji-NJ.
They have had my GF120mm Macro for over a month and still have not worked on it! I call for "status" and the reply is "In Process"
Good luck!

Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long, over a month doesn't seem right, especially since their service is expensive! They repaired a lens I shipped to them in a couple weeks. Try emailing them, I had a lot more luck communicating that way.

Thanks for your response. It took almost a month to the day...I repeatedly phoned them as my Trouble# always said "In Process"...finally the ticket said "Shipping"....talked to rep and never once did they say the lens had NO PROBLEM. I even told them why I sent it in for a check.
It's back and works fine...As the kids say "My bad"! Honestly I NEVER "heard" the mechanism sound till after it was "launched" in my van.
I will pay MORE attention from now on! And $225+ s&h to Fuji....My "shadows" are retreating daily...
Thanks!
Dan
I've never noticed a difference in front and back dials of my 100S or XT5. But after reading this, I played with all of them. To me, both of the 100S dials and rear of the XT5 feel the same. The XT5 front dials is less precise/mushy. But I can't say it bothers me. The joystick is a different story, I much prefer the joystick on the XT5 over the "stir stick" of the 100S.
