I was surprised to find this nest at the intersection of two very busy trails. The couple is accustomed to people yet they still need space. When I first spotted her I wondered if she was injured sitting on the pebbles and not moving. When I got down low to take her photo I realized what was going on. I'm sharing one photo of mom on the nest with her getting up a little showing the egg which she did when some people walked too close. She did not leave. The other photos are of the male.
These are excellent Morris, I really enjoy being around these birds at ground level. Slowly can earn their trust. Low angle worked perfect for these, well presented as well
You sure did this couple justice Morris. These look great ! Love the little speckled egg in #1. Nicely presented set, with Mom on the egg, couple shots of Dad, and then both in the frame. All super with #2 my favorite. Voted

John
Thank you John,
I took these in two passes of the nest. I left after taking a few images as I did not want to stress mom. When I returned I saw dad feeding on in a stream near the nest and then he flew over to it and I took the photos of him and the one of mom in the background.
