Finally Panasonic updated the LX100 II to 26.5MP (effective 20.4MP) m43 phase detection af sensor with 2.36M dot OLED viewfinder and an articulated screen... We'll see how the lens performs as it is same old 24-75mm equiv lens...
I think D-Lux 10 is in the works... D-Lux 7 is announced 3 months after LX100 II and was on sale after 6 months of LX100 II release... It comes from same factory, most probably after Panasonic fulfills early orders...

Yeah I was going to say, how does this compare to the Leica?
I just compared it to the styling of the Leica. The Leica has a much more elegant, refined style, especially on the back.
I was actually expecting there to be a far larger price delta between the two, but that may come if/when Leica releases the D-Lux 9
- Refined Aesthetics: The Titanium Gold model moves the "LUMIX" logo from the front to the rear, creating a more professional and understated "stealth" look. It also features a signature Saffiano leather-textured finish on the grip.
- Tactile Customization: This version is specifically designed to support commercially available screw-in shutter release buttons, allowing users to customize the "feel" and response of the shutter.
- Visual Harmony: The internal software menus have been color-graded in a Titanium Gold theme to match the physical body of the camera.
- Exclusive Kit Contents: The special edition includes a premium accessory bundle that is not available for purchase separately:
> A Titanium-colored automatic lens cap.
> A high-end leather and rope shoulder strap.
> A dedicated microfiber lens cloth featuring unique L10 design illustrations.
The “titanium” finish on the S9 is excellent, and I believe designed to wear better than the regular “paint”.
I assume the finish on this camera is the same.
it seems the exact same camera as lx100ii if they wanted to build today. just replaced the obsolete parts and there we have a new camera. lx100 ii must be a great camera!
I was reading over the announcement and came to this:
"Another stand out feature is that the L10 also incorporates a multi-aspect shooting capability. By utilizing a sensor larger than the lens image circle, it maintains a consistent angle of view across 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 aspect ratios, providing greater compositional flexibility without altering framing."
If you understand this, please answer the following questions:
1. What good is having a sensor larger than the IC? Are they somehow incorporating the darkness around the IC?
2. Since when does changing the aspect ratio not impact angle of view?
This guy gave the exact explanation here at 3:18s: https://youtu.be/aqMM8q2RLvU
Basically, the reason to have a sensor larger than the IC is so you can have smaller lens, plus the same number of pixels for different aspect ratios.

Yeah I'm on the same boat, but I'd have to touch the L10 to see if it actually feels as good as the D-lux . The MP bump is very tempting though ...
