The first image is absolutely stunning, Gramps! Reminds me of the works of the classic French painters,
Care to share the technique?
Really well done.

Thanks Paul. Of course. It was a gloomy day so that helped with the low shutter speeds. Camera on a tripod and slowly panning up during a three and a half second exposure. Nothing fancy. These turned out to be really fun. Very interesting to see how different compositions turn out. Also the speed of the panning has a huge impact on the final image. lots of experimenting. I wish I still had my Wimberly gimbal. That would work better than the ball head I used. I think the key is to minimize any lateral movement because that's what causes the jitters.

Very cool images Gary, gives thought to the fact you can always create something if you put your mind to it well done. Have you had your kayak out yet.

Would like to get opinions over in landscape too as these are very pleasing.
Perhaps less hard vertical lines and more foliage on a few to experiment with and some camera movement 'left-right' for a little more variation? Mark Metternich has some inspirational work he does with water and surf if you haven't seen his work take a look.
Great stuff here Gary, really a great way to express your visions!!

Hey Karl. I'm looking forward to more experimenting. Not sure about increasing the lateral movement. I think that's where the jitters come from. I like the smoothness of the last. Big fan of Mark, his work is amazing. Appreciate the input as always Karl !
