After trying it on my new M10-R, I’m definitely withdrawing this crown jewel of a copy from sale.
I’m honestly in deep shock at how perfectly it complements my latest FLE II. The FLE II doesn’t give that buttery background, but at the same time it has a more nervous rendering in maximum out-of-focus areas than this Nokton, while still being reasonably sharp wide open at f/1.2 and delivering that magical perspective that feels closest to the human eye.
On top of that, it fits perfectly between my FLE II and ASPH II. And that latter one is simply the best lens ever made.
This 40mm is the lens I can always take with me when I’m not sure which focal length will work best.
