NikonCare+ is worth it imo, simply for the accidental damage. I think everyone here will attest to the reliability and dependability of Nikons never needing repairs. Its peace of mind, and cost isn't crazy. I've already put NikonCare+ on two of my Nikons, mostly for that accidental drop. That's more likely than a shutter failure or something of the sort.

Thanks! This will be my first Nikon body, so it is reassuring to hear that they are well built and dependable. As you mentioned, the Care+ coverage really adds peace of mind. Looking through the Protection Agreement, I also noticed there is no deductible, and it's transferable, which is a nice bonus.

I appreciate your insight.
Yep of course. Enjoy! I've owned well over 50 Z bodies since they came out, not one needed repair. The NikonCare are US based as well. Transfering to new owner is very easy and simple.
There have only been 15 Z bodies released, so on average you’ve owned over three copies of every Z body?

Yep, had a few of each camera body. I buy for me, personal/work use, GAS, and mostly for co-shooters that don't mind mint used gear. FM serves very well for trustworthiness and gear thats taken care of.

Wait, what? Why, and under what circumstances?
