Disturbing. It really gets the point across.
yeah, it bothers me. But it does a great job doing it. Good work.

Thanks Melissa.. I'm sorry for disturbing you with such a concept, but I've recently noticed parents not taking the time to talk to their children. They choose such a path not realizing how painful it is for a child to loose a parent. When I read the word "broken" in the MA, the composition just popped in my head.

My sons immediately grasped the concept I explained and posing for the shot was a snap for them. They ask me about the number of views every day

I used the Canon EF 135mm f/2L lens to get the perfect bokeh for the child in the background. I also used two light sources, a 48" octabox on the foreground and a snoot on the background.

I have never looked at a photo on this website and actually had my drop jaw upon viewing the image.

WOW. WOW. WOW.

this is absolutely amazing. I am not being sarcastic at all. This is very impressive and I hope that it wins.

Sounds like you have a cool relationship with your son. Good for you for "pushing the envelope",. I've always believed that "safe photography" is of very little value.

Bravo.

Thanks Thomasio.. I have a friend who took a photo of a woman with a veil, chained in an old adobe house to portrait the loss of women rights in our part of the world. I cannot tell you how much that photo made people upset.. Photography is an excellent tool of expression.

We'd like to think, my wife & I, that we have a more friendly relationship with our children. That urges them to freely speak their minds, ask, question authority, try, and make mistakes.. All that contributes to ones experience.

In this photo, Abdulaziz (13 years) posed as the aggressor and Sulaiman (8 years) was the victim.

A private commenter suggested an adult model to pose as the aggressor.. I would have done that of course, but I currently cannot afford it (financially).

Thanks again

Actually, the young "agressor" makes me think of the inexperience of today's teen parents.

The women's rights photo that you linked to is very powerful.
