Been traveling a lot with my job lately, been to Syracuse, NY, Sarasota, FL and West Palm Beach, FL from what I remember. Photographed this beautiful Global Express last week in Stuart, FL. Going back next week to PBI to shoot another one, along with a virtual tour of it. Then blasting off from Fort Lauderdale to Detroit, on a Delta B-757-300 !! Don't think I've ever flown in a -300 series before. Even got to pre-order my meal in First Class on that one. So sad the B-757 is becoming more and more a rare bird in the US.
Gero, I echo Ray's sentiments. I agree with you completely , the previous 2X converters were not worth a darn.................but, this series is. I tested one out before I ponied up for it and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality. I have shot with it on my RF600/4 and the RF200-800, the results were not just "acceptable" they were really pretty excellent.
Just noticed that Seagate has released a 30TB hard drive......now you're talking! That turns my OWC Thunderbay 8 enclosure into a 240TB storage device, or 210TB RAID 5 enclosure.

Anyone been watching the Olympics and dreaming of what you could capture if you were there and had the run of the place?
With the great light provided in the indoor events and the snow and ice events in the daytime I would have to develop new presets vs. my dark dungeon presets! Oh, and an R3 would be attached to the lenses. Oh, wait, with less than 6400 ISO I might go with the R5 II!

My local H-E-B supermarket tortilla shelf space rivals the shelf space for bread. In fact, considering they also have a fresh tortilla section in the bakery, including a warmer chest, tortillas do occupy more shelf space. Can't have too many tortillas in Texas!
Well Ray..my pantry is also filled with these BUT the intense cold has driven in "mices" and they have enjoyed them also!
5 down 1 to go and he/she is a slippery rascal!
Love ALL foods Texas BBQ and Mexican!!
You Texan BBQ rib eaters have a "mail order" rib joint I can get some from?
Sua Sponte!

I'd be happy with just a 1.4x on that, for $17,999.99 Never been a fan of the results of a 2x, noting that I have not tried the RF versions.
Only 18oz, Douglas?? are you on a diet??
My Sony 2X TC is glued on the superbly light and sharp 300mm F2.8 GM lens, it works great! The other Sony lens that the 2X TC works great with is the second generation of 70-200 f2.8 GM II. From what I read, the degrade in AF and sharpness is more visible with other lenses. I really enjoyed the Nikon 600 F4 with built-in TC when I had it briefly.
The 18 ounce T-Bone I had probably only had 12 ounces of meat, I should have ordered two!
I flew my Cub over to the factory yesterday for its annual, 31 degrees, Brrrr! We had planned on doing a couple of air to air flights on new Cubs just off the assembly line but minor mechanical issues caused us to push that off. My friend that owns the company gave me a tour of the new facility he is finishing out. He has grown weary of depending on suppliers for components, the supply chain continues to get worse and worse in aviation. Things like wheels, brakes, custom parts are all things he depend upon to keep production rolling and the lead times are getting ridiculously far out and unpredictable. Darin walked me through a new hangar that is being filled with all kinds of state of the art digital machinery that will allow him to make virtually any component he needs for his aircraft. He will be designing and manufacturing new lines of custom wheels and brakes, struts, brakes and components. He has a machine that will laser cut every tube in the fuselage and put a part number on each one. Another machine will tig weld all of those tubes into a finished fuselage. Processes that took days of man hours will now be done in hours with a precision that even the most skilled technician couldn't replicate. Aside from eliminating long wait times for components these machines will save the company hundreds of thousands of dollars in shipping costs. I was imagining all the photographic/video opportunities as he walked me through the shop, virtually endless.

Our 777 prototype is headed to the paint shop this morning. AFW to Peru Indiana, departing at 11:30 CST. I can hardly wait to capture it in its new livery.
We're still making parts almost every week or so for the G300 and G800...
.
We also make parts for a customer that makes parts for Mammoth & Altitude Aerospace.
I really tried to see if we had any parts in that cargo door Jim posted but nothing yet.
.
Checking out a new robot tig welder down in cali next month and possibly a robot that we can adapt our two newer miller laser welders to as well.
Yeah, I thought of you as I walked through Legend's new facility. Amazing stuff!
Thanks Jim,
Nothing like walking thru a new shop like that and see what all is made and how it's made, pretty neat.
.
Got a Carbon Cowboy on my wall too.
