These Cicada Shells have been hanging under a tree branch for several months. Backlit through early morning fog. Comments welcome.

Nerd Alert!! Technical term is excuviae. The exoskeleton that is shed after the larvae emerge and morph into adults.

Thanks Yakim, I tried many different versions of this and settled on this one. I was going to do a bottle with the very last drop coming out but someone had already done that . Very nice by the way.

I think this is a very cool shot. I love the composition and the uniqueness of the image. I've never seen cicada shells like that!
