The WATE already focuses down to 50cm without any help. How close to you need to go that you\'d need a helicoid adaptor?

I read that it goes down to 0.5 meters but the hard stop on the lens is at 0.7m. (?)
I\'m new to this lens and don\'t quite understand how this is even possible. Perhaps someone that knows can enlighten me.
Thanks Fred. Please just keep turning until 0.5 m. There is a little bump.
Rangefinder coupling stops at 0.7m.
Also, one needs to tape up the cut out on the hood.
Otherwise one gets asymmetric images with a filter or when doing LCC.

Yes, I\'ve read taping the filter adapter holes is a must. I\'m not sure it\'s needed for the hood and it does not accept filters.
What tape is best? Electrical tape? It would be nice to find a third party adapter without the holes.
Thanks Fred. I use black electrician\'s tape, attached to the outside of the hood. Works without a problem.
Regards, K-H.
