Thunderstorm whirls overhead with lightning strikes over a Lake Superior coastal shelf near Grand Marais, Minnesota.
Crevices with pools of water reflect the storm clouds, working as leading lines to the tree line in the distance. The crevice height is around 2 meters if I were to guess (for scale). Dozens of captures, this was the best of the bunch. In the distance you can see higher forest outcropping shrouded in the dramatic weather. I provided a crop enlarged version of this area.
3rd image is very little processing, contrast enhancements and desaturated the oranges per critique.
Sharpening for web off, which, was causing some perceived halos.
