Re: Official: Voigtlander 65mm f/2 Macro Apo-Lanthar for $999

I loved the CV 65 but ended up selling it because:

1) My Sony 90 macro does macro better (more working distance, 1:1 magnification)
2) It's a bit bgger than I would like
3) Most importantly, I had difficulty gapping the 65 with my other lenses.

My MF landscape/waterfall/walkabout kit is:

Laowa 15 (AOV 111 degrees)
Loxia 25 (82 deg)
CV 40 (57 deg)
CV 65 (37 deg) or Loxia 85 (29 deg)

The Loxia 85 gaps a lot better with those lenses than the CV 65. Guy's recent Big Bronco tests gave me confidence that I wasn't giving up any significant IQ by switching from the CV 65 to the Loxia 85. I wish I could keep both, but I decided to sell the CV 65. I already miss it. The Loxia 85 arrives tomorrow and hopefully the Loxia 25 will arrive soon thereafter. Hope I did the right thing
