NR Admin quotes:

> "Optical performance that is not compromised with the use of the TC-14E III AF-S teleconverter.”

In the last sentence, what is NR referring to? On what does NR base this claim?

This is not NR claim. I believe it was stated in Nikon announcement

Ok, I saw what you see in the screen shot..... "by NR Admin”. I guess now, that they probably picked it off a Nikon site.

Does it matter as much, who said it, as it asks “How did they arrive at that claim”. What is the reason I wonder.

______

It will be very exciting if the loss is *indiscernible* (which it probably will be) and if the AF is as fast as the 300PF w/o the 1.4 and faster than the 2-5 with the 1.4.

I’m optimistic that this will all prove to be true.

This is going to be a very exciting lens for sure. I watched Steve Perry’s video on it. The added feature that I did not know about was that function button he mentions. That could be sweet, considering that the left hand is on the barrel. I agree that the problem with my 2-5 is *not* holding onto a BIF it has acquired....it is difficulty (slowness) in acquiring.

Do you know why they say this or how they can substantiate the claim?

How can optical performance not be compromised when a TC is added ?
