Hi,
I was wandering how this would compare with the very famous Canon FD 50mm f1.2 L. It was one of those stellar lenses of the time. And it looks small and convenient to be adapted...
Anybody owns both and or have compared them? As far as I know it is selling for 600€.
Regards
I have used a good copy of that lens recently on the Leica M240 and the Sony A7RMKII.
The Canon is almost as sharp at f1.2, which is amazing for the age, and it performs better a closer focusing distance,(it has an fle).
The colours arent as saturated and the Bokeh can be quite jaring like alot of Aspherical lenses of that age.
Cross the frame uniformity was also better at fast speeds.
Overall a good experience, and I regret selling the lens.
Oh I find the FD adapter a little annoying as it needs to be rotated to lock the apperture mechanism.
