I have decided that if you have an 85 1.4 GM, you really don't need this lens unless
1. you must have a longer prime
2. you must have a portrait prime that is sharper than the 85 GM, you don't like sigma, and the 85 FE is too "cheap" for you to consider it
3. you do both portrait and sport, so the 135 is very well sorted for both, while the 85 GM would hunt too much to be a proper sport glass
4. you have money to burn and want all the glasses
reason being, the 85 is an easier to live with FL
and the bokeh with the 85 is more pleasing b/c let's face it, we are all whores for 1.4
perhaps I just saved you some loot?
