Almass, you've done nothing but show a complete lack of respect in this thread, but this is the internet and assholes will be assholes. It's not my problem and by all means continue, but it's not going to affect me in one way or the other. I'm moving on and will be disregarding your comments from here on out unless you can show the ability to comment in a respectful way. That's all.
Ok, for anyone else's consideration, here is a side by side comparison of the original file and the edit. This portrait session was done because I was inspired by this girl's unique beauty (including the moles which to me resemble a constellation), her makeup artistry/skill, and her charisma as a person. She really is just lovely to work with and be around, and is one of the nicest people I have met. If you don't believe this is an authentic representation, that's valid, as any edited photo by nature is not authentic to the image that was originally captured and this is simply a representation from my individual vision. I hope this does not come across as invalidating anyone else's opinions, I only wish to explain my point of view.
Here is also a close up of both the nose and eye at 100%. As you can see, the nose retains skin texture, the pupil is in focus, the lashes are in focus, and so are the brows.

Ok, for anyone else's consideration, here is a side by side comparison of the original file and the edit. Is my edit perfect? No. Will the way I edit and see my work be up to the standards of every person who views them? Never. I am nowhere close to being at the level of portraiture that I want to be. That said, this portrait session was done because I was inspired by this girl's bone structure and unique beauty (including the moles which to me resemble a constellation), her makeup artistry/skill, and her charisma as an individual. If you don't believe it's an authentic representation, that's fine, as any edited photo by nature is not authentic to the image that was originally captured and this is simply a representation of my individual vision. Ok, for anyone else's consideration, here is a side by side comparison of the original file and the edit. Yes, I cleaned up the skin, and in my opinion subtle dodging and burning to blend skin tones and using the spot removal tool to remove blemishes does not kill the authenticity of a portrait, but I will die on the hill of believing that removing body modifications, beauty marks, and moles absolutely does. I find these details to be intriguing when it comes to a person's identity and as I have stated I choose not to alter these details as I believe doing so starts to heavily cross the line of where I think the authenticity of a portrait comes into question. That's all. Is my edit perfect? No. Will the way I edit and see my work be up to the standards of every person who views them? Never. If you don't believe it's an authentic representation, that's fine, as any edited photo by nature is not authentic to the image that was originally captured and I feel entitled to my artistic discretion and to feel that I am in no way required to remove body modifications just because I remove blemishes and blend skin tones. This does not invalidate anyone else's opinions nor have aI once attempted to invalidate anyone else who has given their critique on this photo, only explained my point of view.
