I was/am pretty happy with my a7R III, but over time there are areas where I would like to see improvement, but not enough that I ever decided to pull the trigger on the a7R IV (or a1 for that matter.) I suspect though that the a7R V will tick enough boxes to make me purchase. I don't feel that I NEED to upgrade every time Sony comes out with a replacement model for my existing camera. Nor do I necessarily expect that EVERY model has to be some monumental numbers of improvement.
Seems like there is always some things improved, and it really comes down to each person deciding whether it makes sense for them to purchase.
