In F mount the 24-120 was one of my favorites for landscape because of the range, but even good copies were never competitive with the better lenses (still, I made sellable prints from it). In Z system I’ve used the 24-70/4 but 3 copies all were decentered, plus color consistency across the frame was not great in something like snowy scenes. Went to the Z 24-70/2.8 and was delighted by the IQ but really missed the longer range. Now have been shooting the Z 24-120 since release in 2021 and it’s just ideal for my landscape needs, and a perfect mate for the 100-400mm. My copy is gorgeous throughout the zoom range.
