On June 8, 2023 they asked me if I had checked for a loon nest. I took it as a compliment and headed for the launch. It was a beautiful morning but by the time I was approaching the area I hoped to find a loon on its nest, it was raining steadily. Normally the egg(s) is deposited a little earlier. The Common Loon incubation period is 26-29 days and a loon baby hatched from this nest on July 4th, 2023.
