Last year I posted about my great-niece Abigail’s Make A Wish trip after she was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 2 1/2 (https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1797108/). I’m extremely grateful to update that she is still with us, and full of beautiful life as always. Some of the cancer did come back last winter but surgeons were able to remove the small amount and we continue to hope that with every 3-month brain scan she will remain clear. I made these candid portraits of her this summer when we had the great privilege of having her visit our home across the country from hers, while she was gallivanting around in her princess dress.
A final note - new life has also been added, as Abigail now has a 5-month-old little brother Redmond, seen in the last pic.
