There’s lots of meaningless street photography these days; and the biggest cliché is a picture of a young woman walking on a diagonal of the frame, particularly easy to photograph with a wide-angle lens. Nevertheless, I like this image, particularly the color version: the different hues on the bluejeans, the expression on the face, the transparent of the plastic bag that she is carrying. While Iike this image in color better, it also works in B&W. Generally, shooting digital, I feel that I have to have a reason for selecting one or the other.
The nostalgia for the Ricoh GRD4 continues. Great to be able to get this huge depth-of-field at f/1.9.
