A corner in Bombay Hut, an Indian restaurant in Chiang Mai, with a colonial theme. I was particularly sensitive to these colors when reprocessing this image that was taken a few years ago. because I’m reading Sue Prideaux’s excellent, new biography of Gauguin, “Wild Thing.” Her analysis of Gauguin’s paintings and colors at various stages of his life is particularly interesting. (This image is a SOOC jpg (Positive Fitm setting) , only changing the Lightroom profile and slightly raising the shadows).
Can't help noticing that this is the third image in a row that I've posted here, after four days, with no other posts by anyone else. The low participation and low view count makes me reluctant to post here again. The number of views since I posted the one of the lychee trees (above) is merely 180. I posted the lychee tree image on flickr at the same time as I posted it here: on flickr it was selected for "Explore" and has had 4,300+ views. I also posted on Instagram, where it also got very few views — as discussed in another thread here, Instagram is not particularly good for photographers either.
