Read through this, and sounds exactly like the high end bird tours. Not for me, but I do think there is a very good case for you to go and pay the fees. It helps the environment and wildlife there from being decimated. A huge part of there GDP I would bet. Hopefully you guys will continue to pump money into the economy.
If anything I would say research and find a locally run company not a huge conglomerate there from other countries or politicians there just to scalp the tourists.
Same thing here in South America and other countries. I personally hate it, but it definitely serves a purpose.
