I wasn’t sure what to expect after traveling the bumpy road and arriving at this Utah badlands overlook. As I walked around the rim looking down and scanning for compositions, I became inspired by all the wonderful textures, patterns and lines, along with the subtle cool and warm colors that were throughout much of the earth. I proceed to use my Tamron 50-400mm zoom mounted to A7RV on tripod to hone in on sections that were especially aesthetically pleasing to me and I soon fell into one of those flow sessions where I lost all track of time and awareness of the outside world, and before I knew it it was near dark. In combination with the freedom in Lightroom to coax out the best of these marvelous lands, I got that rare feeling where it almost feels like painting. I hope you enjoy these views of a remarkable location!
