Re: Fuji GFX Image Thread - all cameras and lenses

It's been three months since I added the GFX100S II, and I think I am about 95% comfortable with the settings, and have customized the camera to my liking.
The remaining questions are concerned with the out-of-camera JPG/HIF files:
-- Are these worth recording along with the raw files?
-- If there is something potentially useful about the out-of-camera JPG/HIF, what are the best settings for landscape, city, and street photography?

I have tried PROVIA and REALA-ACE, and wasn't too impressed by the visual outcome.
However, Velvia (VIVID) looks promising. I like the contrasty look where the highlights seem to be well-retained.
Perhaps the shadows could be less dark. This makes me wonder if I should set D-Range Priority to Weak (it is OFF now)?
I believe that D-Range Priority applies only to JPG/HIF and has no effect on the raw files, correct?

Here is an example of an out-of-camera HIF file shot with Velvia and WB Daylight (converted to JPG for posting here), followed by a JPG obtained from the raw file using "From camera (Velvia/VIVID)" rendering in DxO Photolab 9 and some manual corrections.
The rendering in Photolab 9 seems to be warmer than in camera.

Many thanks for posting a "comparison". I am inti 1 year with the GFX100s ii. I have the settings down to very basic. The menus overwhelmed me to the point of frustration! Just me! I'm olde!

I use Nik Collection after editing in ACR, Br, PsCC
