There is my goal in this project to do as much as I can with my own hands. This includes processing the film and scanning. I also want to use an entirely Leica workflow. I know this is mostly irrelevant to the images, but I want to do it that way for personal reasons. I scan using a Leica SL3 body, and a Leica APO-SL lens using an extension tube to get 1:1 scanning. It produces superb quality images.
So you came up with such a beautiful analog project, and then you stop halfway through and digitize the whole thing? As a Leica enthusiast, I'd recommend a Focomat IIc (of course, a V35 will also work with 135 film, but it doesn't warm heart and soul in the same way). I guarantee you'd get goosebumps just looking at it, even before you've laid a hand on the machine. A baryta print, even if it's not technically perfect (in which case it might even be exceptional), would suit your idea a thousand times better and would have a completely different emotional value. I'd seriously consider it. Of course, there are labs that do it if necessary, but I think there's nothing like working with your own two hands. https://thomaseisl.photography/reviews/leitz-focomat-iic

I've given up arguing about analog vs. digital; everyone should decide that for themselves. I just think that this project, which I find genuinely exciting, will only truly come together if it's carried out entirely analog, ideally with older equipment. This was just meant to be a suggestion, nothing more.
Thanks for taking the time to view the images, think about the project, and contribute your point of view. As always appreciated.
The way I envision my project also includes how the modern life here is so well integrated in the historical component in this place. There is a vibrant contemporary arts, science, education, living, immigration, and other current components that are exciting and very much a part this place and part of my vision and of my story. I have posted many images taken digitally here. I am using the M11, the SL3 and many contemporary best in class modern lenses for this component of the story. I believe these also it fits well in my vision.
I have posted many of these images here on FM. Take a look at my uploads gallery to see some. When looking at them realize that our fellow FM members through their own posted images, their comments, and support, have been a great inspiration and educational tool for me. I am grateful for this. I hope that they can recognize some of those contributions in the images.
Nifty Fifty it sound like you have developed a very strong personal esthetic in your photography. I am sure many here would enjoy and benefit from your images if you ever decide to start sharing them here on FM. I know I would.
