Recent Trip Summary: Self-Guided Photography Adventure in Finland & Norway
Just back from an 2-week to Finnish Lapland and Norway’s Varanger Peninsula. The main goals were photos of Arctic sea ducks (especially eiders) and chasing the Northern Lights
Photographed ~50 bird species over 12 active days.
Excellent encounters with Common, King, and Steller’s Eiders in the harbors and fjords of Varanger.
Northern Lights visible on 6 nights
