That''s true but I found using the RF 100-300 with ether TC to be pretty exceptional shooting mammals in South Africa. However I will say the built TC is drawing me back. I originally left Canon for Nikon when I received my 400TC in the first few days after release. I only jumped back to Canon for the RF 100-300 and the R1. I am seriously considering getting the Z 120-300TC... the only thing I a not sure about is going back to the Z9... as great of a body as it I find the R1 to be better (minus the low MP of course).
