After much consideration I am listing my 4x5 system for sale. The set is very complete. Besides a beautiful Shen-Hao camera there are three lenses, new bright custom ground glass from Steve Hopf, lots of film holders, four different types of film, dark cloth, and even more. Those of you who follow Nick Carver will no doubt notice that this is most of his 4x5 kit. The kit was built after taking his Large Format Photography course.

I placed vertical and horizontal lines on the ground glass to aid in alignment. Also included is the original Shen-Hao ground glass in the event you want to have a second option.
The Shen-Hao camera will come in its original padded metal clam shell hard case.
The bellows are light tight and the metal and wood parts are in excellent condition*.

*The Shen-Hao is in fantastic condition except that the front knob on the left side of the camera is missing preventing it to lock the front bed. It extends and works fine only locking is an issue. There is a replacement part (about $50) that can be ordered to fix the issue.

There is another version of the part that can be ordered. I am going to leave the camera as is for the new owner to decide if it matters to them, or not.

Besides a beautiful Shen-Hao camera there are three lenses, new bright custom ground glass from Steve Hopf, lots of film holders, four different types of film, dark cloth, and even more. There is another version of the part that can be ordered. I am going to leave the camera as is for the new owner to decide if it matters to them, or not.

*The Shen-Hao is in fantastic condition except that the front knob on the left side of the is missing preventing it to lock the front bed. However, it doesn’t otherwise affect the function of the camera. It’s really irrelevant because I will include the replacement part I bought from the View Camera Store that should fix the issue. I just never put it in. The missing knob was not affecting the use of the camera so I just kept the replacement part in storage. It’s included in the event you wish to change it out. I lost the one end beauty cap, unfortunately.
So, you have the camera, lenses, film and holders, loupe, high end ground glass, dark cloth and oh, development gear. A complete set to get started with 4x5!
