She doesn't quite pop @ 1600 pixels posted here on my monitor due to this forum's archaic and shameful photo posting requirements.
Perfect for dial-up netscape internet folks though...
Just some stuff a little more heavily processed than my usual. All hand-held with the XH2 + 80 macro. As such, two things stand out: first is how good the 80 macro is, and second, how beneficial IBIS is. Edit: actually three things, also how freaking awesome Fuji color is
For whatever reason I find camellias never photograph well, especially in color, so I thought I'd try one in mono -- actually this is split-toned to add some additional separation. Still not sure it works. Ditto the odd little succulent. It has deep magenta outer petals with bright yellow-green inner. As such it converts to mono in a rather severe fashion, more than its color indicates. Not sure this one works either, also a split-tone to add a little separation.
A meeting took me by the Northern part of the SF bay this morning. Technically I am looking out across a section of Suisun marsh and my camera is pointed roughly SW toward where the old Navy boats are mothballed in the Suisun Bay. Anyway, just a quick grab, but I thought worth sharing FWIW. The "steam" plumes in the background are outflow from the Benicia and Martinez refineries.
