RX1RM2 Just upgraded from original model 1. This is the third RX1 I have owned and I love this camera. I should have purchased the model 2 years ago.

The sunset is over Chuckanut Bay in the foreground and Bellingham Bay in the distance. It in Washington State. It is navigable salt water that leads out to the Pacific Ocean between the US and Canada.

The wait is over, summer is here, and the salmon swims up the rivers again, the largest ones first. Chanses are better later in the season when the grilse arrives in larger numbers, but catching the first salmon in June when the rivers run cold and fresh from melting snow in the mountains is something you always dream of.

Please advise which sd card for RX1r, mainly for video purpose.
I'd prefer some medium size cards rather than a big one. But w/r speed is 1st priority.
Thanks!

The fastest card for the Rx1r2 is the SanDisk Extreme PRO SD UHS-I U3 card. I use the 64GB version and have used it in the original Rx1 too, that is why I recommend this card. Yo can't go wrong with this card.

Thank you for the info given. I will order 64gb 170mbps for video and 32gb 95mbps for photo.
I will post some photos in this topic shortly.

As far as I understand, the camera can not take advantage of the 170mbps, so just stick with the 95mbps.

I bought and recommend the Toshiba FlashAire W-04. It's a U3 card as well, and you get WiFi and RAW via WiFi (less important for your use, but still nice to have.)

Gotta say it.
Where are all the RX1 shooters? Did they all defect to the Leica Q2 or are they all now changing lenses on larger heavy bodies? Sony is standing on the shore watching this ship sail. The RX1 looks abandoned both in hardware and software. It's not like there is no room for growth. The RX1 could use IBIS, a larger battery with bigger grip and some kind of Leica-like strategy to simulate multiple focal lengths, perhaps a larger sensor and a wider focal length like Leica. Perhaps clear zoom improved. The point is that the RX1 has a unique IQ signature and an superior compact form factor worth keeping. It is strange to me that it is now Leica steering this market instead of Sony. -- enough!

Quite agree Dale - I do sometimes think the cameras profile might be raised if these images were included in the main FE images thread, Pros and Cons I am sure.
It will be interesting to see how the Q2 goes - bit of a wallet cruncher though!
Bristol Cathedral RX1RII -- not my finest hand held night shot at f2 - but not bad.
