I was so ready to pick up this camera to complement my A7R2 if it weren't for the A7R4 announcement. Now I am wondering if there will or won't be an RX1Riii or not. Sony Alpha Rumors was mentioning an announcement of an RX camera this week, wonder if it will be zoom or fixed lens. I would actually pre-order an RX1Riii at $3500, and I hate buying things at retail price, especially when they are first released.

Me too. I actually ordered a "new" rx1r ii last week. It came in all dinged up, so I had to return it. I take it as a sign I should wait...

End of season.
The campsite has been used by me for almost 20 years, before that probably for generations by the sámi people who used to have a peat hut here by this last group of tall birches where the valley opens up to the mountains.
This is also where the salmon have their spawning grounds, and from August on they will have the river for themselves.
The sun sets again for a couple of hours and nights are getting colder.

On the one hand, using the RX1 while the girls put on a rodeo at the beach made me want an RII. On the other hand, so many good shots of then anyway, what’s the point. A few non-kid shots.

This great thread makes trying to decide between an RX1 and Ricoh GR really tough. I really like the small size of the GR (fits in a pocket) but something about the rendering of the RX1 files really stand out.

In case anyone out there is looking for a mint condition RX1R II, I've decided to sell mine and have listed it on the FM Buy/Sell Board. Been fun, but that 600 GM is not cheap!
