Almost 1 month no post at all, nobody using this cam?
I did a monthly challenge shooting the Loxia35 daily. How ever good this fine MF bigion lens might be, it's in no way the same as the sonnar on the Rx1

There are some outstanding images in this thread... I often regret selling my RX1R when I look back at some of my own images from it... I had intended it to be an everyday carry but it proved to be just a tiny bit too heavy and chunky to keep in a pocket. Having a debate with myself right now about whether to pick one up again...

Not many RX1s see duty as landscape lenses, but the diminutive Sonnar and its carrying appliance is a extremely capable tool for this usage. And easy enough to carry around, at 482 grams for my early one. A list of 35mm lenses that weigh more than the whole camera would be long and embarrassing by comparison.
If you include 35s within 100 grams of 480 grams, you scoop up almost all the non-M lenses. And the later 42mp version basically confirms Peter Karbe's notion of high end 35mm lenses being very crop-able, so you have a 32mm (uncorrected FL) to 45mm with excellent image quality. A zoom prime lens!

Zanskar is really a unique place in the world. It's people so resilliant and welcoming. Looking forward on going there again (and again and again).
A non RX1 photo (but still Zeiss 35mm view; the CZ 2/24ZA lens on a crop sensor Sony A57) from my last visit back in 2013
