I actually find the "in camera" B&W jpegs really llok nice. I shoot RAW plus Jpeg and in many instances, for B&W, I just keep the Jpeg version. Too bad the Rx series do not have Picture Profiles like the newer cameras do. I have a list of profile recipes that emulate classic films in camera. I use them quite a bit with my ZV-E1

I've been really putting my RX1RII to use these past couple of weeks, and making an effort to actually learn about the AF modes and such. What an amazing camera.
Now that I've turned on face detection and assigned eye af to a custom button, taking photos of people (and my toddler) is so much easier than it used to be. I always used in in "center point" mode previously (like my original RX1) and it's so much more capable with the other modes than I realized.
It's just a stunning, great little camera that reminds me each time I use it that there's nothing more that I really need. I'll try and share some recent shots soon.

Thank you. If you man the photo of the flower girl, the sun setting through the window did most of the heavy lifting. In LR, the only thing I did was boost the exposure 0.2 stops and apply the Cobalt Profiles Elite Fuji Provia 100F B profile. For this image, very similar effect could be accomplished using Adobe Camera Portrait and applying a mild S-curve to the tonality. The sun really did all the work.
If you instead were referring to my settings that emulate the Q2M formula whilst shooting a Sony camera (originally “tuned” to the output of my RX1Rii), then it goes like this…(assuming properly exposed image with neither tonal edge clipped):
Profile: Cobalt Profiles Fuji XT-3 Acros (Adobe B&W 02 or 07 are decent approximations, depending on the colors in the image)
Contrast +5
Shadows +20
Whites +35
Blacks -20
Clarity +15
BW mix
Red +2
Orange -8
Yellow -12
Green -21
Aqua +20
Blue +26
Purple +14
Magenta +10
