I'm doing the same--creating and printing a family photo album of the best images from the year. I plan to make one album each year, starting with the year my wife and I began dating. It should be pretty awesome to look back on as we grow older.
It's a fantastic photograph by any measure and serves as a good reminder that 99.9 percent of the people outside internet photography forums like photos for their subject and composition and couldn't care less about what type of camera you have or how you processed it. Congrats on the photo and for realizing quickly a great image was there for the capturing.
P.S. good luck to all those baseball teams, too. That's a lot of work!
