As ront has posted, we had quite a storm Saturday morning in the Palouse. I got out of bed, looked toward the east and saw clear skies. Then I heard thunder, looked toward the west and saw an impressive cumulus. I hurried out to a spot (kind of shotgunned it) but got there after the light started to break on the clouds but the color stuck around for quite some time.
I don't have a lightning trigger but tried to lengthen my shutter speed by going to ISO 50 and f/16. I had luck with a couple strikes. I wanted to shoot wide to capture the gigantic cloud but that comprised the lightning. I switched from the 24-105 to 70-200+1.4 after sometime. Both images taken with a 2-stop reverse GND. Any and all feedback is very welcome!
