Tuesday afternoon.
This sequence happened so fast I wasn't sure I had it in focus and
was very pleased to find that it was and that I got more shots than expected.
The Elegant Tern grabbed the Cormorants fish, and in turn the cormorant
grabbed the tern out of the air and smacked it back down into the water.
I have to hand it to the tern he didn't lose his ill gotten catch, and escaped seemingly
without a scratch
What a great sequence! I've never seen that before. I'm not so sure the Tern got away unscathed though. If that top beak dug into the Tern it may pay the price in a few days.
