Kirby is the son of a some really good friends, a nephew really, of my wife and I and it was an honor to have a chance to do some shots with him. He's a multi-talended young man who excels in music, including the guitar, ukulele, saxophone, and the Tuba (plays it in his high school band), plays volleyball, and obviously, he's also a black belt in Karate.
Hope you like it!
Greg
Edit: Reworked the two karate shots and the volleyball shot, trying to get the creases and halo's out. One of things I struggled with was the Muslin. Even though I had it clamped to the frame in three places on each side, AND I took a steam wand to it, the creases just would not release...if anyone would share any tips to get it smooth, I'd appreciate it!

(2) is a fine portrait - well done!
The other suffer from background / halo / extraction issues.

Thanks Greg. Yeah, in the processing, pulling the tonal detail caused some halo'ing, so I'm working to fix that (reworking them). Also working on smoothing out the background. I wanted to give his Karate shots more of a harder edge to them, but it's new to me, so I appreciate the feedback.
