not seeing any medium format images on here ?? just bigger sensor than full frame but long way from medium format?
There's probably a clue in the thread title ....
What were you expecting to see here? I suppose the IQ is c.50% larger (in terms of sensor surface area) than the more commonly seen 100mp sensors, but it's still a far cry from 60x60mm, for instance. (I guess I'm in the camp that feels that MF film can have a different "look" -- and that isn't a statement about resolution in a pixel peeping sense, more a subjective observation.)
33mm x 44mm is Medium Format, just like 53.4mm x 40.0mm is Medium Format despite not being 56mm x 41.5mm Medium Format, or 60mm x 4.5mm being Medium Format, or 60mm x 60mm being Medium Format or 60mm x 70mm being Medium Format, too.

Quite so.
I have a very simple view about this: anything bigger than 36x24mm (that isn't something like 4x5 inches or larger) is MF.

to me its just like so many things in the world , totally false untruth but just say it anyway and it becomes the truth because the truth is not relevant anymore is it?
