Sony have a totally different attitude to noise, which is why they made it so attractive. They don't try to scrub it away. Good thing too as it is always there, a constant companion.
I guess that's why the colors are so nice. The main reason I didn't stay with MFT was the extreme noise suppression of the E-M5. There were simply no color left at high ISO, but the images were very clean.
Also, final ACR/LR now available for a7/a7r...see the Adobe site.
Some with the A7 and an icy waterfall. A bit chilly here today. First with a cheapo FD Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 I got from my dad's old Canon kit, second with the FD 70-210 f/4 and third with the FE 35/2.8.
This is a test of the APS-C Size Capture set to On for manual lens. So the 15mm functions like a 22mm lens with a fairly clean result easy to tweak in LR5. I am pretty happy with the result and I think this will work for me until I see a some new wide angle lenses designed for this camera.

doesn't it defeat the purpose of the 15mm if you're going to crop it in camera? Why not just get a 21mm
Well of course the trick is to get a 21mm lens that is as good as the CV15. I am not sure I have seen anything yet that offers a substantial improvement. My observation is that people, myself included, are tempted to lower their standards on lens performance to get full frame coverage in a chosen focal length. In the case of the CV15 I think I traded pixel count for IQ and I retained the light weight form factor. This is not to say I won't try 21 mm lenses. I will but that too will be some sort of compromise until there is a new generation of lenses.

yeah, there aren't any 21mm lenses as small as the cv 15 either except for the cv 21/4, which has pretty terrible smearing.
