NICE. You've got some sweet clouds and a killer FG. But, what I like most is that you shot it from a different spot that just about every other image from there that I've ever seen. Good work!
Love this one. The snow capped rocks really help draw the eye into the frame much more than they usually do when they are barren and craggy. The blue tones are wonderful, and the slight blur of the clouds as well as the puffy clouds and hint of pink add a lot to the scene. Very nicely done.
I believe you accomplished your goal of capturing emotion because I definitely "feel" this image if that makes any sense. It definitely communicates a calm stillness that is present at the start of a new day. Emotion is difficult to convey in images sometimes, but I honestly feel you done a great job with that here.
I'm pretty happy with this image. I had spent two weeks at Crater Lake and hat clear blue skies and warm temperatures almost the whole entire time. It snowed on the next to last day of my residency. It was very welcome as.. yeah.. the rocks and dirt aren't things that I like to have in my photos.. at least as a foreground.
I appreciate everyone's time the spent looking at this photo and commenting on it.

This it a really excellent photo. I found it quite difficult to find a really memorable foreground I liked with the lake, but you really pulled it together here.

Thanks Tim. Spending two weeks there really helped. I found some nice things. :-)
