Now that one's eye is caught, the detail within the image keeps my interest. The b/w you picked to convert are excellant. No conflicts in color spectrum when converting that would screw the contrast up. Point being you can defocus your eyes at a wider point and the basic elements/structure remain intact.

Thanks for your thoughts here. The monochromes converted well and the structures of the sands really popped in the conversion. I was pretty surprised with the soft light but there was just enough sun through the holes in the clouds to make it work. Thanks again!
