WOW! You sure as hell learned how to drive your Leica digital B&W!!
And BIG THANKS for sharing your sentiments in producing such a stunning evidence of family devotion in a world now so full of deceit, destruction and death in every newscast.
Excellent! And thanks for sharing not only your images but your passion. In this day when sharpness at 100%, and noise while pixel peeping seem to rule the day, its so nice to see photographs that deftly capture a moment, a mood, an emotion as the primary priority...which is really what drew many of us to photography in the first place...
My my my, so many flattering words! I'm very very humbled. I'll have to dig up some of my early photos that were just awful. This forum definitely gave me my foundation.
@zalmy they are all printed, but not framed. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but they are a hard copy!
Very nice! My father had an old Rollie camera (the cheaper one - Rolliflex?), and your pictures have the same feel, if better execution. We spent a lot of time at swim meets, too, so that is also nostalgic for me.
your postings like this over the last year inspired me to do this the poor mans way on vacation this year...I keep meaning to come find a thread and thank you...because it meant I have pictures of things from vacation that I would not have had otherwise...so thank you.

Thank you for posting.
Very cool, Bruce! I hope my sons have the same feeling when looking back at the images!

Thank YOU Travis for taking the time and commenting! Very kind words my man!
For what it's worth, used Leica digital bodies are not astronomically priced. And there are many great Voigtlander, zeiss, and vintage Leica lenses for cheap.
Thank you for sharing your family and art so generously. It's a wonderful collection of timeless photos well captured and well seen. I'm not sure it requires a Leica, by which I do not diminish my respect for the photographer, or choice of equipment.
Of course it doesn't require Leica but for working in the moment and having a dedicated B&W camera can make this type of work a lot more intuitive. I know it did for me.
Thank you, Lighthawk! I completely understand what you are saying. I'm not sure it 'requires' a Leica, but I sure as hell enjoyed the whole process more than shooting with my DSLR or other mirrorless. Like Allen said, it has really refined my process (I think at least). But most important to me, I enjoy making images with it. More so than any other camera.
