I've sold my CV 65/2 APO last month but repurchased my own copy only after a few weeks!
It's still one the best native lenses we have.
I do not have the expertise to review lenses, but there is something about the CV65 that just delivers, also feel that way about the Batis 135... hmm both APO lenses....
This lens is destined to be legendary, similar to the Voigtlander 125mm f/2.5 Macro during the DSLR days. I am sure the CV 110mm Apo is as good but for whatever reasons, I tend to stick with my Sony 90mm Macro lens for my macro needs.
I put up the lens for sale but quickly took it down because I wasn't getting any bites and I also asked myself "WTF are you doing?!?! You LOVE this lens."
It's funny but there are certain lenses in my arsenal that I couldn't bring myself to sell even if little used. CV65 is in that category as is the Loxia 21

I initially felt the same. I've got too much gear creep, so it was either the 65 or ZA 50, and I've already got the 110 APO, so I decided I wanted an excellent AF option in that focal range, more than the APO excellence.

I'm pretty sure the Sony 90 is actually a bit better than the CV110 at 1:1. But 1:2 they are pretty similar or the CV a touch better, and at greater distances I prefer the CV.
It leaves me confused about what to do! I've got both of them and don't particularly want to get rid of either. But that seems a bit dumb.

Sony 90 + Batis 135? There will be soon some affordable Batises around

I also have seemingly dumb redundancies in my lens lineup. As long as you are not hurting for money, keep them both, I would say. Especially, if some lenses have, for whatever reasons, taken a hit in resale value.

Already have a B135 and it'll be pried from my cold dead hands. (sadly not purchased affordably)
I have some bad news for your wallet: there will be a Tokina Firin 100mm macro too, and if it does what the AT-X 90mm used to, then we’ll “need” that lens too lol

My wallet is safe. The existing options are better than the human eye can really detect.
What my wallet will not be safe from is an modern lens which does what the Canon MP-E 1-5x does. The Laowa comes close, but not better enough in some regards and not as good in others.

Anyone using this lens to "scan" in film negatives?
Yes, still experimenting with "scanning" film negatives in this manner. My last batch I used the 65 on its own, but really I think it would be better with the Marumi Achromat Macro adapter to get true 1:1. (I forgot I had it when I "scanned" my last batch)
