I just returned from Southwest Colorado where they were saying that the fall color was the best it's been in several years. It was really amazing to be there at just the right time. We hit a lot of the known iconic spots such as this and lots of unknown spots.
Lots to share over many posts to come...
These first few are from the Dallas Divide where I had the pleasure of running into Jim Fox it was great to finally meet him after all these years. The first is a pano made up of several images stitched together to try and capture the grandeur of the scene, shot about an hour or so before sunset. I thought the lighting around the rim was pretty nice. The other 2 shots I believe are of Mt. Sneffels, #2 in the late sky after sunset and #3 of an early sky of sunrise light. All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards, Dean
Beautiful set Dean, nice work I like them all. I see there is a little snow in the mountains this fall. I want to move to Ridgway but my wife won't let me. Love the pizza and beer at the Colorado Boy.
What a great set!
They are all great but my favorites are 1 & 3.
The first for the expansive look, a great wall filler print.
The last with layers & colors, oh my
Thanks everybody I appreciate the feedback, Colorado was really a great place to be and watch the Fall unfold this year ... Stay tuned
Jim.. I must say I was surprised how good the Chinese food was great spot !
Dale.. need to get the wife on board or maybe just a weekend place in Ridgway
Great photos - I like all three but if I could pick just one it would be the first.
I spent 8-9 days there and stayed in Ridgway and did not run out of things to shoot. It was beautiful. We were probably shooting near each orher and never knew it.
Jim has great taste in restaurants ...
